This Privacy Policy explains what information Fishrr ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as we reasonably can, and we never sell your personal data.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and authentication details, used to create and secure your account.
• Your aquarium data — the tanks, water-parameter readings, species, reminders, notes, costs and similar records you add to the App.
• Photos you submit — images of test kits, fish, or tanks that you choose to upload for AI reading or identification, or to keep in your photo journal.
• Subscription & billing data — your plan and entitlement status. Card and payment details are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card number.
• Usage & device analytics — app events, diagnostics, and (where enabled) session replay used to understand and improve the App.

2. How we use your information

• to provide the App and store your tanks, logs, and photos;
• to process test photos and questions through AI features when you use them;
• to manage your subscription and entitlements;
• to send reminders and notifications you have set up;
• to maintain security, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, and fix problems;
• to understand usage and improve the product.

3. Service providers we use

We rely on a small number of trusted, industry-standard service providers to operate Fishrr. They process your data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:

• Cloud hosting, database & authentication — securely stores your account, your aquarium data, and your photos.
• AI processing — processes the photos and questions you submit to AI features to return readings, identifications, or answers.
• Payment processing — our merchant of record processes payments and manages your subscription.
• Product analytics — helps us understand usage and diagnose problems so we can improve the App.
• Service reliability — protects the service against abuse and keeps it responsive.
• Push notifications — delivers the reminders and alerts you have opted into.

4. How your data is protected & isolated

Your data is isolated per account using database row-level security, so one user cannot access another user's tanks, logs, or photos. Photos are kept in a private storage bucket accessible only to you. Secrets and AI processing run only on our secured server-side functions, never exposed to other users.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records in the App. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA and US), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You can also manage notifications in your device settings.

7. Children

Fishrr is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

8. International transfers

Fishrr serves users in the US and Europe, and our providers may process data in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
